Artist's Description
Countdown to Ecstasy is the second studio album by American rock band, formed in New York City, Steely Dan released July 1973 on ABC Records. The album features vocalist Donald Fegen for the first time who sang lead on every track. Like their debut album, Can’t Buy a Thrill, Countdown to Ecstasy has a rock sound with strong influences from jazz. Their lyrical themes also explore topics of drug abuse, class envy, and West Coast excess.
The album did achieve critical success but failed to produce a hit single, thus achieved only #35 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart. Two singles, “Show Biz Kids” and “My Old School” did stay on the lower half of the Billboard Hot 100 chart but they did become FM radio staples of the time.

As you can see from the various Collections, my areas of interest are broad. I work at letting the subject speak for itself and strive to offer something that gets your attention because it got mine. I have been behind a camera most of my life. It started in high school as newspaper and yearbook photographer. After serving in the US Armed Forces I attended Brooks Institute of Photography. Most of my career however was dedicated to video production as a director of photography, camera operator, editor, and owner operator of a video production company in Denver, Colorado.
